Keith Underhill MBA CFIOSH MCMI MNI
Keith is the founder and Director of 3DotDash Ltd.
He began his career as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy first with P&O and then later with Trinity House. He left after gaining his Master Mariners Qualification. His health and safety career started with British Gas as a Safety Officer for major onshore sites. After obtaining his NEBOSH Diploma, he moved from there to join the insurance industry providing risk management consultancy to organisations on behalf of General Accident. Keith would visit and advise 120 businesses per year across a wide range of market sectors. During this period, Keith joined the Management Development Course and was one of the few employees selected for the Open University MBA. This coincided with mergers of General Accident, Commercial Union and Norwich Union to form Aviva and Keith was promoted to head the Scotland and Northern Ireland Risk Management Team. In 2002 he successfully completed his MBA. Keith has been a member of IOSH since 1991 and a Fellow since 1999. He has served on the West of Scotland Branch Executive Committee and as Branch Chair, as the Chair of the IOSH Commercial Committee and on the IOSH Board of Trustees from 2006 - 2011. In 2011 he was elected Chair of the Board of Trustees and helped to develop the 5 Year Strategic Plan. In 2013, he was awarded the Presidents Silver Award for Services to IOSH. Keith has also worked in Senior Management for Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd, as a Director of the Scottish Business Crime Centre, Chair of East Dunbartonshire Enterprise Trust, Board Member for Lomond and Clyde Care and Repair Ltd and on the Management Committee for Cordale Housing Association. |
